Hannah's Biography
Hannah grew up in Clinton, South Carolina.  After high
school graduation she went to Ohio to attend the
Cleveland Institute of Music.  She received her Bachelor
of Music degree in 1999 as a student of Linda Cerone,
and her Master of Music degree in 2001 as a student of
William Preucil.  She has studied Suzuki Violin Pedagogy
with Vera McCoy-Sulentic, Susan Kempter, Carol Smith
and Rudy Hazucha.

In September of 2001 she became a member of the
Charlotte Symphony, where she spent two years before
deciding to move back to Cleveland to become a
freelance musician.  Upon returning to Cleveland she
became a very successful freelancer, playing with many
area orchestras and other groups, forming her own
string quartet, and teaching at a variety of schools.

In the fall of 2008, Hannah relocated to Saint Louis
where she performs regularly with Chamber Project St
Louis and the Serenade Strings.  She also performs as
Concertmaster of Winter Opera St. Louis.   She has a
home studio,  teaches violin and orchestra at several
private schools and is the manager of the Frantillo
Strings. She also teaches violin lessons at the St Louis
School of Music.

Hannah is more than just a classical violinist.  She has
performed with a variety of crossover/popular artists
over the years, including Josh Groban, Mannheim
Steamroller, TransSiberian Orchestra and Mark
O'Connor.  She has performed at Everest Cafe and other
events as part of a quasi-jazz duo.

In addition to her musical gifts, Hannah is also a talented
writer.   Recently she won an essay contest sponsored
by Thomastik Strings.  Her winning essay on "Tone" was
published in the Suzuki Association of the Americas'
Summer 2009 Minijournal.  She also writes a
blog about
her experiences teaching, playing for weddings, and
other random life thoughts.

Hannah is committed to education both for herself and
her students.  She stays up on the latest trends in
education by belonging to the Suzuki Association of the
Americas and the American String Teachers
Association.  She makes every effort to attend local
teaching or Suzuki workshops, and each summer
attends at least one Music Institute to improve her
teaching skills.  She believes it is important to stay up to
date and to continually improve one's skills.
